For a Dutch dairy farmer in Denmark, we developed a custom solution based on our Connect system. The solution had to fit within the existing barn and comply with the new regulations for calf housing. In addition, it was important that calves could easily be changed from individual housing to duo housing at a younger age.
To make this possible, we adapted the Connect system. We applied the principle of the partitions from our Combo pen system. This allows the partition between two calves to be removed quickly and easily, making it simple to move calves from individual to duo housing.
At the same time, the benefits of the Connect system are retained. The partitions and gates are easy to move, allowing the pens to be moved for cleaning and mucking out.
A practical combination of flexibility and ease of use, tailored to the situation and wishes of the dairy farmer.
